Macrocarpa Tongue And Groove Sarking And Panelling
One of the premier uses for Macrocarpa timber is as sarking or Panelling. Cypress Sawmills stocks a number of sizes and grades of Tongue and Groove.
- 150x25 TG&V - finished size 128mm cover, 18mm thick
- 100x25 TG&V - finished size 83mm cover, 18mm thick
- 150x15 TG&V – finished size 128mm cover,10mm thick
- 100x15 TG&V – finished size 83mm cover, 10mm thick
Boards are machined to a tongue and groove profile with a double 'V' so that the best side of the board can be used. We have displays of the different sizes in our office and other buildings on site. You are very welcome to come in and have a look.
Tongue and groove (TG&V) are available in a number of grades and lengths:
- Random length No1 Grade - has tight knots with a minimum of other defects. It is the most popular grade for feature ceilings, with or without exposed beams, and for Panelling. Lengths range from 2.1m and longer.
- Medium length No1 Grade - has tight knots with a minimum of other defects. Lengths range from 1.8m to 2.1m.
- Short length No1 Grade - has tight knots with a minimum of other defects. Lengths are less than 1.8m. Common uses are for walls and furniture.
- Random length No2 Grade - can contain a number of defects including black knots, bark inclusion, chipping and old borer tunnels. Suitable for barns stables or rustic style homes.
- Finger jointed No1 Grade - short lengths which have been jointed together to form long boards. Good where long, straight lengths are required, this is a very attractive cheaper option.
